DETERMINE YOUR STARTING POINT (LEVEL 0)

In order to assess your current situation, it is strongly recommended that you proceed with an energy diagnostic which provides the following valuable information:

• An energy profile of your facility that includes the preparation and analysis of energy variable trends (i.e. energy consumption, daily and monthly peak demand, power factor, utilization factor, etc.), breakdown of energy users and your facility's energy baseline consumption. 
• A benchmarking survey of your energy management practices that aims at evaluating the gaps between you current practices and available best practices.
• A technical survey which, in conjunction with the energy breakdown of your facility, will enable you to identify the areas of your facility that offer the largest opportunities for improvement.

PUTTING IN PLACE THE MAIN ELEMENTS OF AN ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LEVELS 2 & 3)

Based on Plan-Do-Check-Act or PDCA improvement cycle, an EnMS consists of such main elements as:

• Energy Management Policy
• Energy Team
• Energy Reviews (with energy baseline, audit and Energy Performance Indices (EnPIs)
• Energy Management Plan (with training and communication plans)
• Energy Management Information System (EMIS) (sub-metering, data analysis and reporting)
• Etc.

GOING FOR ISO 50001 CERTIFICATION (LEVEL 4)

You have put in place the main building blocks of an energy management system and now you are ready to implement the remaining improvements that will allow your business to be ISO 50001 certified.  This international standard will provide your energy management system with a workframe which is based on proven energy management practices which will help you reach and maintain a higher level of energy efficiency.

If you like to have your energy management system to be ISO 50001 certified, we can provide you with the guidance and support you will need throughout this process.

BEYOND ISO 50001 (LEVEL 5)

You are already ISO 50001 certified but you realized that there are some benefits in going beyond certification, we can help you reach for excellence and be a leader amongst your peers.
